My many and varied photos from San Diego Comic Con 2006. I've got shots of stuff on the floor, people in the hall, and the many crazy folks I met. I've tried to fill in whatever might be of interest regarding whatever is going on around the image or why I took it, but as always at Comic Con, some images defy description. So if you missed it, enjoy the photos, and if you were there, enjoy the memories they bring back of a year well spent!
Some great weird and wonderful things I saw but missed photographing: The best Jack Sparrow I have ever seen dressed in full cannibal regalia who ran off screaming down the street from the convention center before I could snap a photo, A three-year old little boy dressed as cannibal Jack complete with eye stickers on the face, a guy with his bald head completely covered in eyeball temporary tattoos from the Pan's Labyrinth Booth, the Klingon assembly, the Stormtrooper ranks marching off (if a little off beat) down the convention center, the 'random line' a line that formed and randomly walked around the convention center offering free hugs, the knights killing each other in the SCA and non-SCA demonstrations, Ursula Vernon, Brian Froud, Gabe, Tycho, Stephanie Lostimolo, Stan Lee and his entourage, the smallest Darth Vader I have ever seen (he was probably about five years old), the guy who comes every year dressed as Alvin from Alvin and the Chipmunks (his name is actually Alvin as I learned this year, he's a really nice guy), the promotional giant Pikachu costume, the promotional ugly doll costumes, the promotional Happy Tree Friends costume (complete with disemboweled stuffed innards), Waldo (yes, I found him), the Elvis Stormtrooper (complete with gold rhinestones), the ghetto Stormtrooper (complete with bandana and baggy pants), Bling Boba Fett, the Ghostbusters (only three of them this year), red Link (with all attainable accessories from Majora's Mask, excepting the more useless masks), blue Link, Zelda, Princess Peach, Warrio and Waluigi, a guy with his jacket completely (and I mean completely) covered in promotional pins, Dick Tracey, a samurai in a bathrobe, Kill Bill replica Swords, the new Spyro game preview (actually it was really fun to play, and looks like a good adventure game in an RPG style, as the guy at the booth said "After this they'll be ready for WOW" and I think he was right), a Nightelf, many (and I mean many) Edward Elric cosplayers, an Alphonase cosplayer (as the armor), two giant yetis, and a lot more that I can’t even remember off the top of my head.
